Silk Banner Painting Class in June

Wanna look even flashier and awesome at West-An Tir War than you already do?
Come make a banner at Monday Arts and Science meetings in June!
Over the next few weeks we will be painting silk banners.  We will be doing this in stages, since we have a limited amount of daylight on weekday evenings.

Please sketch out a line drawing of your banner pattern and be ready to transfer patterns and build stretchers next week. We suggest keeping your patterns simple and true to heraldic color schemes (metal on color or vice versa) for maximum impact. We have silk enough to accommodate up to 2’X4′ banners. If anyone is so enterprising or experienced enough to want to do something bigger, please e-mail Megan ASAP to ensure the availability of supplies. Also e-mail her if you have any other questions. She can be reached at
Class fee is by donation. Please feel free to contribute $ to reimburse us for fabric, lumber, paint, tools, et cetera, but if you are interested, do not let lack of funds stop you from participating! Anyone who wants to make a banner but absolutely can’t make Monday nights can contact Megan; she may be able to make accommodations for a few people to come over at another time, but keep in mind that daytime plans are contingent upon her work schedule and her daughters nap schedule.
