Mad River Grange

Their Excellencies Erik and Signy, Baron and Baroness of Allyshia, do invite one and all to Lupercalia, January 25th, A.S. XLVIII to witness a threefold tournament to decide the next Baron and Baroness. The site for this event is the Mad River Grange, 110 Hatchery Road, Blue Lake, CA. The site will open at 10 am with the tournament starting at NOON sharp. There will be a Poacher’s Feast, starting at 5:30, with the Barony providing the meat and dessert. The populace is asked to bring a side dish or salad to share according to your last name: side dish – A through M, salad – N – Z. If crash space is needed please contact the autocrat. The schedule of events for the day:
10:00 AM: Site will open
12:00PM: Invocation for Competitors wishing to participate in the Coronet Tournament
Followed immediately with the first competition -Heavy fighting.
1:00PM: Heavy Fighter Prize Tournament begins
1:30 PM: Science Competition for Coronet Competitors begins
3:00 PM: Arts Competition for Coronet Competitors begins
5:30 PM: Cooking Competition will be judged: “Something about Bacon”. Entries must incorporate bacon! (bread, soup, entry, dessert – anything with bacon!) See Baroness Elsa regarding your submission.
6:00 PM: Potluck will begin. Please bring a potluck dish to share.
7:00 PM: Court
After Court: Revelry, Games, Dancing, etc.

Site fee: $10.00, Non-Member $15.00, 12 and under – free.

There is another event in Blue Lake on the same day. Show up early, as parking may be a issue.

Directions: take 101 to 299 East – Take the Blue Lake exit, continuing right onto Blue Lake Blvd. Continue half way around the roundabout on Blue Lake Blvd. and make a right on Greenwood Road. At the “Y” stay left on Railroad Ave. to H Street. Turn Left on H Street – the Grange will be on the left side. Watch for signs.
